N.B. Reference Part Nos. 1414 and 1422/7 above, regarding F2 and J2 models only. It should be noted that on all F2 models and on J2s up to chassis J3575, the centre and the Octagonal edge of the instrument cluster plate were painted black leaving only the raised bead in chrome plate. The 3″ and 5″ octagonal bezels were similarly blacked to allow the edge of the cluster panel to match the bezels of the instruments. Although rarely preferred by customers, we can offer these original options from stock. From chassis J3576 and all L types only the centre of the cluster panel remained black and all octagonal surrounds were chrome plated.

L1/L2 MODELS. A pair of black ‘divers helmet’ dashlamps (Part No. 1432) were fitted as standard equipment at the points marked X on the photograph. The push/pull switch. (Part No . 1433) that operated the dashlamps was positioned directly under the hornpush 1 and mirror stand.
